In 1978 Tom graduated with honours from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Communications in Radio and Television. Tom rocked the midday broadcast in Cobourg, Ontario at CHUC-CFMX. Eventually Tom and the radio station parted ways and he re-located to Saskatoon to talk about what he loved most – Rock and Roll on Rock 103 CFMC. By the early 80s, Tom knew yet again that it was time to hit the road. This time he chose Winnipeg as his stomping grounds. It was Winnipeg where Tom and Larry first met up, working the Tom and Larry Updike show on Power 97 for 6 years. In 1988, The Tom and Larry show moved from Power 97 FM to 92 Citi FM for another 6 years of radio gold. After over a decade of owning the waves in Winnipeg, the duo tried to take their show to Vancouver to broadcast at Rock 101 CFMI. Vancouver wasn’t ready for our boys, and Tom came back to Winnipeg and back to 92 Citi FM for the Tom and Joe show. After years of incredible radio success, Tom has come full circle and has reunited with his old running buddy Larry Updike. After getting all they could out of radio, the two decided to try their hand at online podcasts. The Tom and Larry podcast show has been on the air since March 2014. Tom resides in Winnipeg with his wife Stacey Roteliuk and his 7 children.
